TGIF! I’m so excited to have this weekend to give the blog some attention! I’m loving this space lately and hope you are, too. These Friday Five posts have really given me some structure, which I love. Look forward to more fun, big changes!
But, I digress. Here are my five things this week:
1. Macadamia Milk
I’ll start off by saying this is not actual milk. Milk comes from a mammal, by definition, so this is really macadamia juice (hehe). Regardless, I’ve only ever tried the original Milkademia brand macadamia milk that I picked up from Target. I’d describe it as a heavier, creamier texture with a nutty flavor and smell. I tried to make cocoa with it (Nesquik + milk) and I loved how thick and creamy it was! Plus a little nuttiness made the chocolate taste even richer. When Ryan uses it in lattes, it does not froth up as beautifully as actual milk and tastes really similar to plain milk to me in a latte.
2. Leather Headboards
I’m loving the look of leather headboards right now with white, creamy, or muted green walls. I guess this makes sense since I have a caramel-colored small leather couch and pleather dining chairs in the same shade! This West Elm beauty and this one, also from West Elm, are so dreamy. However, even Walmart has a (p)leather headboard now. You can find this faux leather option online.
3. Pretty Pots from Hobby Lobby
These are so pretty, you guys. I wasn’t sure I’d like the look since most of my other plant pots are crisp white in modern shapes, but I adore them. I’ll likely snag a couple more at least to mix in going forward. I can’t find a link to them online, but there was a whole shelf of them near the frames and ceramics at my store. If you ask for them, call them patterned cement flower pots. Last Note—I totally potted my plants directly into them, which you aren’t supposed to do, so I’ll let you know how this goes! 🤷🏻♀️
4. My Roomie’s New Jacket
We didn’t pack enough layers for our recent trip to Europe and we were…cold. We both ended up buying navy jackets, hilariously, but I am loving how Ryan’s looks on him. 😍The picture below isn’t a perfect one of us three—but this jacket made Ryan look so cute even in the cold rain! It’s from H&M and is a great, light layer that looks both grown-up and young. Perfect for spring mornings!
5. This Weather
Is it just me or has this felt like the longest, coldest winter of all time? I’m all for an excuse to stay home all cuddled up with red wine and a show to binge, but the fresh air has me feeling alive again. I’m thrilled. And I’ve had to force Penny, our pup, to come inside everyday this week so she’s lovinggggg outside, too.
Have a great weekend, friends! Hope to hang out with you here on Monday. 🙂

YOU MADE IT TO SACRE COEUR! I love Montmartre and while you guys do look rather chilly I hope you were able to find the beauty of that area that I always have.
Also, I have failed in packing layers when traveling in Europe as well and H&M was my lifesaver. Glad to hear this happens to others.
I am loving the Friday Five and cannot wait to see and hear more about your travels.

It was a WAY cool view! Great recommendation. And yes, so chilly. H&M is a stylish lifesaver! Such a blessing since Ryan also got a super cute sweater from there that I’m in love with.
So glad you’re liking the new Friday posts!! ❤️

Ahh what an amazing question! For the most part I just vacuum with our Shark and keep lint rollers everywhere for our clothes. 😂 If we brushed her more, our house would be in better shape! She’s shedding a lot as the weather gets warmer right now and I’m trying to be better about regular brushings. 🙂
Thank you so much for following along!
