Happy Friday, pals! I spent the whole first half of this week in a funk (which shows in this post). It was making me c.r.a.z.y. When that sunshine showed up mid-week, wow, my attitude and productivity turned around completely. Incredible! I’m READY FOR SPRING, like everyone else. Enjoy this week’s Friday Five! ☺️
1.My New Positive Playlist!
I watched Rachel Hollis’ documentary on Amazon Prime this week, when I needed a pick-me-up, and took her advice on making a playlist that can transform your mood in a second. I use Apple Music, but am happy to share with anyone who wants it. 🤗There are so many good songs that I threw on there, but my favorites as of this second are:
- My! My! My! — Troye Sivan
- Rich Girl — Daryl Hall & John Oates
- La Di Da — Lennon Stella
- Sedona — Houndmouth
- Don’t Kill My Vibe — Sigrid
2. DIY Curtains
With my current need to change parts of our home, I’m obsessed with finding great ideas for lightening and brightening our spaces! These DIY curtains do not look DIY in the slightest and I’m very obsessed with them. You can bet you’ll see me doing something with this brilliant method soon, but not sure if it will be for my own home. Ahhhh such an amazing idea!
3. Kevin Murphy Anti Gravity Spray
When it comes to hair and makeup, I know very little, except what works for me. This amazing spray gives my hair so much more volume when I use it! I typically shower at night so I can’t use this, but whenever I shower during the day I spray this all over my roots, blow dry my hair, and off I go with way more volume than I ever have naturally. I took this along with me on my honeymoon and loved it then, too. I never used it with a blow dryer during the trip, but I even felt it made a difference just letting my hair air dry. 🌟Plus, my fabulously-talented-hair-stylist BFF, Morgan, was the one who recommended this product to me. So you know it’s legit!
4. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
I have no idea why I waited so long to try out this show. I LOVE the time period that the series is set in, the clever plot, and edgy, hysterical characters. Once I started this series, I plowed through it and have yet to stop thinking about it (so time to rewatch!). If you haven’t watched it, check it out on Amazon Prime and prepare to be a super fan like me!
5. Businesses Giving Out Treats to Dogs
I am very attached to my dog, so I take her along with me whenever I can! Penny LOVES going to Starbucks and believes any drive-thru means she’ll get a puppuccino/puppy latte. Sorry, sis. Just Starbucks! But, we did just discover that Chick-fil-A gives out little doggie treats in the drive-thru. Our local bank, TruBank, is another of Penny’s favorites since they never fail to include a little Milk-Bone for her with my deposit receipts in the drive-thru. She even gets treats at our Home Depot! What a spoiled pup. We love our dog-friendly businesses!
Wishing you the best weekend! Hope yours is packed with fun plans and if it’s not, there’s always The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to watch from the couch. 😂Thank you so much for showing up here and I’d love to hear from you in the comments if you are loving any of my five things this Friday!
